Alex's Arcade helps kids fight the battles of childhood cancer by escaping to the world of video games while in infusion and hospital rooms.

Alex's Arcade was founded by James & Nancy Craven...Inspired by their son Alex, who at the age of 12 was diagnosed with Stage 4 Diffuse Large B cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma of the bone...It’s a rare type of lymphoma that accounts for 1-3% of all types of lymphoma’s that affected 90% of the bones in his body, he underwent 6 rounds of intense chemotherapy of 96 hours at a time. It was during his time in the hospital Alex asked for his Xbox to be brought in so he could escape reality and into the world of video games. It had a very positive effect on his attitude...it allowed him to relax and have the comforts of home right there in his hospital room...the home away from home. Very few of his various roommates had the same comfort or escape...Alex would share his games and controllers until it was time for him to go home.Alex had the idea during one of his stays at the hospital…"What if we could put video games in all the rooms on the oncology floor...and the infusion room too?"And that's what we plan to do...with your help we can make this a reality come true for those kids fighting the good fight and escape their reality.
